My fourth iris fabric painting utilizes a nautical print fabric in the standards (upper petals) and a rich paisley in the falls (lower petals). The background is textured and painted in iridescent, reflective acrylic, which produces a very dynamic result.  My inspiration for this piece came from 2 different irises: "Wonders Never Cease" by iris hybridizer Paul Black and "Ignite the Light" by hybridizer Thomas Johnson.
